Chapter 22D: It's Official

"Arnav this is my first relationship and I don't really know anything about all this," Khushi said.

"Khushi don't worry, we'll talk thoroughly about it, but later. Let's go downstairs before they coming looking for us," Arnav said. They both started walking towards the stairs, side by side; Khushi could feel the heat of his skin on hers because of the close proximity. Their hands slightly skimmed the others' as they walked. Arnav made contact with her hand and held it, making Khushi's stomach flip and her heart skip a beat. Arnav intertwined his fingers with hers, and squeezed her hand. They both went downstairs and everyone was going to the dining room to have breakfast.

"Oh ho, look who has decided to join us," Maan said smiling to Geet as they came down the stairs. Khushi tried to remove her hand from his, but Arnav just held it tighter, not letting it escape.

Geet noticed the interaction that was happening between their hands and was happy. So they had probably confessed to each other, she thought. She nudged Maan telling him to look at their hands.

"So is it official now?" Maan said motioning to their hands and smiling. Khushi looked the other way blushing.

"Yea it is," Arnav said.

"Well I'm really happy for you both!" Geet said and hugging them.

"Same," Maan said joining them, "Geet and I had already predicted this since yesterday though."

"Kya?!" Khushi exclaimed.

"It was so obvious that you both liked each other yesterday," Geet said.

"I did," Arnav said then moved his head to the side looking at Khushi, "But your friend here wasn't willing to admit it yet."

"I was but I needed time to think over it!" Khushi retorted back. Arnav let go of her hand put it around her waist, side hugging her and said, "I know, I was just teasing you."

"But I'm happy she took the time to think it over, because I don't want to you make a decision in a hurry," Arnav said.

"I'm really happy for you both. My best friend and sister together. But I must warn you one thing," Maan said going to stand by Khushi then looked at Arnav, "She's like my sister to me, and you better not hurt her. You maybe my best friend, but she comes before you. I'm telling you this now, because if you hurt her later, you won't get any warning."

"Don't worry; I'll try my best to not hurt her," Arnav said, "Even I don't like seeing her hurt."

"Ok chalo, sabh khaana khaalo (Ok now let's go, everyone eat)," Geet said to them. They all walked to the dining room and everyone else was already seated and eating. The boys were sitting on one side of the table, and the girls on the other. Khushi sat at the end of the table, next to Geet and directly across from Arnav.

Everyone was sitting around chatting with each other while eating. For breakfast, there were parathay, pancakes, waffles, cereal, juice, milk and many other assorted foods. All the guests were finished eating and were getting ready to leave.

"We'll leave now," one of the guys said getting up.

"Ok, see you guys at night for the dinner," Geet said.

"See you guys there," he replied back.

"And don't forget that the party had been moved to the banquet hall instead of our house," Maan said. Then everyone slowly left the house to go to theirs, leaving only four of them. The servants came and cleared up the table.

"Why has the party been moved to there?" Arnav asked.

"When we had arranged it here, it was for a lot less people. But now there are more people attending it than we had expected, so it was easier to just do it in a hall and have all the arrangements done there," Maan told him.

"And the theme is red, black, gold and green. So pretty much anything that looks like the holidays, make sure you both wear that color," Geet said.

"The party starts at 7," Maan said looking up at the clock and saw it was a bit past one o'clock, "so in about 6 hours. It will take half an hour to get there. But Geet and I are going to go their early, around five to check on the arrangements and everything."

"There will be a car available, so you both can take that and I'll leave the directions to the banquet hall with the servants," Maan said.

"That seems good," Arnav said.

Maan's phone rang and he answered it, he looked up at them, "I'll see you both later."

Chapter 22C: Taking the Next Step

"Look up," he said. Khushi looked up at the ceiling and then back at him, "What am I looking for?" she asked.

"What's that hanging up their?" he asked her with a smirk.

Khushi looked up again then at him, "Mistletoe."

"And where are we standing?" he asked.

"Under the mistletoe," Khushi replied back.

She looked at Arnav and noticed the smirk on his face; he wrapped his arms around her waist, making her stay still where she was. His intentions sunk into her mind, and her heart started beating quickly. He was having an effect on her, something she had never felt by anyone else. Arnav descended his face towards her and stopped leaving a very small space between their lips. All Khushi could do was look into his eyes and melt into them. She moved her hands and rested them on his shoulders, and looked from his eyes down to his lips. Arnav watched her intently, he wanted for her to make the move and not force himself on her. She just stood there looking into his eyes, not making a move.

"Khushi, kiss me," Arnav said.

"Arnav I don't..." Khushi whispered to him.

"You don't want to?" Arnav whispered back interrupting; Khushi could hear the pain in his voice. Arnav was slightly he hurt that she said no, but at the same time kind of happy that she had stopped before he continued.

Arnav said again, "You don't..." but Khushi silenced him putting her finger on his lips.

"You didn't let me finish," Khushi said, "...I don't know how to, I've never kissed anyone before."

"Khushi, just do it," Arnav softly said and tightened the grip around her waist moving her closer.

Khushi looked into his eyes again, and saw desire in them that she had never noticed before. Just lean in a bit, a voice in her head said. She parted her lips and moistened her lips with her tongue. She leaned in grazed his lips for a few seconds. She pulled back and looked into his golden brown eyes that were open and staring at her. She moved her arms around the nape of his neck and leaned in again. This time touching his lips with hers completely.

Arnav smiled to himself as their lips made contact. He took the lead now that she had started. Arnav rubbed his hands against her back, trying to keep her calm. Khushi pulled away go get some air, but Arnav right away cupped one of her cheeks and kissed her with even more passion. He nibbled on her bottom lip, making Khushi go week on her knees.

She felt her heart overflow with emotions as he kissed her; this was better than eating a tray full of jalebi's, better than a movie of Salman Khan's, better than anything she had ever experienced. Khushi still felt distance between them and nudged him closer; reading her mind, Arnav grabbed her by the hips and lifted her a bit, so her feet were on top of his. He tried to gain access to her mouth, but she wasn't noticing. He moved his hands along her creamy skin on her waist and rubbed it. Khushi held his collar even tighter; to make sure she didn't lose balance.

Arnav squeezed her by the waist, making her whimper in pleasure and opened her mouth. He took this opportunity and moved his tongue inside her mouth. Khushi moved her hands to his hair, and grabbed fistfuls and tugged on it. She felt a new sense of feeling erupt within her; her body felt as if it would combust any second due to passion. Their tongues fought with each other for dominance. He sucked on her tongue stealing the breath away from inside of her; a moan escaped her mouth into Arnav's.

Arnav finally broke the kiss when he needed some air. He rested his forehand against hers, trying to catch his breath. Khushi was doing the exact same, with her eyes closed trying to heady her heartbeat. She took her hands out of his hair, and put them back around his neck. They stood there, looking into each other's eyes. They didn't know how long they stood there, but Khushi broke the silence after sometime.

"Yes," she whispered to him. Arnav stood there against her, trying to figure what she was talking about. Arnav saw the glow in her eyes, and the mischievous look on her face; he understood what she was saying, but wanted to hear it from her mouth.

"Yes what?" he asked. Khushi started blushing and hid her face in his chest, "Yes, I want to give this a chance," she mumbled against his shirt.

Arnav was already happy, but hearing this from her mouth made him overjoyed and he grinned. He kissed her hair lightly and hugged her even more. Resting his head on her shoulder; Khushi could feel him smiling against her neck.

"Khushi do you even know how happy I am today? I can't even express it!" he said. Khushi wrapped her arms around his waist, hugging him.

"This is the best Christmas gift I've gotten," Arnav said. Khushi pulled away from him and said, "I forgot! I still have to give you my present!"

"Just give it to me later," Arnav said.

"Arnav was I your..." Khushi asked but hesitated. Arnav knew what she was getting at.

"Umm no Khushi, you weren't my first kiss," Arnav said and her expressions flattened a bit, "but I do want you to be my last," he said and smiled.

"Khushi I hope you made this decision on your own, and not under any circumstances or pressure of what happened earlier downstairs and up here," Arnav said lightly holding her shoulders.

"No, it's actually what I wanted to tell you and I thought this through completely, I want to give it a chance and hope it works out," Khushi told him.

"I don't care what it takes and what we have to go through, we WILL make this work out," Arnav said.

"Arnav this is my first relationship and I don't really know anything about all this," Khushi said.

"Khushi don't worry, we'll talk thoroughly about it, but later. Let's go downstairs before the coming looking for us," Arnav said. They both started walking towards the stairs, side by side; Khushi could feel the heat of his skin on hers because of the close proximity. Their hands slightly skimmed the others' as they walked. Arnav made contact with her hand and held it, making Khushi's stomach flip and her heart skip a beat.

Chapter 22B: Under the Mistletoe

"Ok if you can't answer that then do the dare," Maan said and Khushi nodded.

"Kiss Arnav," he said.

"KYA?!" Khushi exclaimed. Arnav looked at Maan and said, "WHAT THE?" Although he didn't have any objection to that idea, he just didn't want her to do something that she didn't want to.

"Why are you both acting so surprised? It's pretty obvious that you both like each other," Maan said.

"Just because we like each other doesn't mean its official yet," Arnav said before thinking.

"So that means you both do like each other?" Maan said with a grin and Arnav realized what he had just said. Khushi gasped by what Arnav had said and her face flushed a deep color like a tomato. Arnav looked away from Maan too embarrassed to talk.

"Then just make it official now," Geet said nudging Khushi in the ribs making her blush even more. Arnav looked up at Khushi and noticed the tint of blush that was on her cheeks. Khushi looked up at him and their eyes met. Khushi was too embarrassed to say anything or do anything. She got up and just ran up the stairs to her room.

"Go get her Arnav," Maan said, "She's probably feeling really bad now."

Arnav turned to Maan and pointed his finger at him, "THIS! This is all your fault!"

"Don't worry, you'll thank me later," Maan said smiling. Arnav was going to say something but Geet interrupted, "Just go Arnav, and talk to her."

Arnav looked back at Maan with an angry look; then got up and quickly went up the stairs, two at a time. He checked her room, but she wasn't in there. Arnav then went to his room, and she wasn't there either. He looked through some of the other rooms also, but didn't find her. He then spotted her standing at the end of the hallway, leaning against the wall looking out the wall sized glass window. He slowly went to her, making sure that she didn't hear him coming.

"Khushi," he said touching her shoulder. Khushi broke from her trance and turned around to look at him.

"Everyone was just joking, I hope you didn't feel bad or anything," Arnav said looking at her

"No Arnav, I didn't feel bad'." Khushi said gripping his arm and wrapping her hands around it, she rested her head on his shoulder. Arnav was a bit surprised by this, but didn't say anything. He put one of his hands on top of hers and glanced out the large window also.

"'.can I tell you something?" Khushi said after a while breaking the silence and lifted her head off his shoulder looking up at him.

"Of course you can," Arnav said looking down at her.

Khushi let go of his arm then stood directly in front of him and stared at the ground, "Ok, but promise that you won't laugh."

"Why would I laugh Khushi?" Arnav asked.

"Just promise me," Khushi said looking up at him.

"Ok ok, fine. I won't laugh. I promise. Now tell me what you have to say," Arnav said.

"I'..I'woh'.maine'" Khushi said but didn't know how to say it.

"Khushi I don't understand what you're trying to say," Arnav said looking at her a bit confused.

"Ihaventhadmyfirstkiss," Khushi said all in one breath then looked down. Arnav looked at her like she was speaking jibberish then reality sunk in. She hadn't had her first kiss, he repeated to himself.

Arnav felt a smile approaching his lips, then broke out into a grin. He took her hands in his and pulled them up so they were right in between their bodies.

"Khushi look at me," he said softly and Khushi slowly lifted her head up look at him. She noticed that he was smiling and pouted, "See, I told you not to laugh!" she let go of his hands and walked away few steps to the corner.

"Khushi I'm not laughing," Arnav said walking behind her; he grabbed her shoulders and turned her around.

"Then why are you smiling?" she asked.

"Do you really want to know?" Arnav asked wrapping his arms around her torso, making Khushi rest her hands on his chest.

"Yea I do," she replied back moving her head up to get a better view his face. Arnav moved his face forward and rested his forward against hers. He looked into her eyes and felt his heart beat faster.

"The reason I'm smiling is because I'm happy'" Arnav said softly to her.

"And why are you happy?" Khushi asked.

"Because'." Arnav said.

"Because why'..?" Khushi asked.

"Because I'm really happy that no one has kissed you yet; no one has touched you yet," Arnav said sincerely. Khushi could see it in eyes, telling her how happy he truly was.

"And why does it matter to you if I've been kissed or not?" Khushi asked smiling.

Arnav knew that she was just teasing him. Two can play the game also, he thought. Arnav tightened his grip around her waist, making their bodies flush against each other more. He trailed his lips against her jaw line, making Khushi close her eyes at the sensation. She moved her hands from his chest, and put them around his neck, intertwining her fingers in the back right below his hair.

"Because'." Arnav whispered rubbing his stubble against her cheek.

"B'be...beca'use'," Khushi managed to say, but with not much voice. She was too lost in his touch to even think correctly.

"Because'." Arnav said and moved his lips to her ear, kissing her on her jaw line along the way, "'.because I am head over heels falling for you Ms. Gupta," he whispered into her ear and kissed her earlobe. Khushi's eyes opened at what he had just said and a big smile lit up on her face. Arnav had expected Khushi to push him away, but she did the complete opposite. Khushi tightened her arms around his neck and pulled him even closer, if that was even possible; resting her face in the nape of his neck, she didn't let go. Arnav felt her hug him, and he tightened his grip around her waist also; he could feel her smile on her lips against his skin, making him smile even more. He rubbed his hand up and down her back, keeping he calm. They could feel each other's heartbeat going to the same speed, fast like the wings of a hummingbird.

They didn't know for how long they stood there in each other's arms, hugging each other and finding solitude in one another. Khushi loosened her grip around his neck and moved her face back to look at him. The both spoke to each other the same time.

"Arnav I need to tell you something." Khushi said.

"Khushi I need to do something," Arnav said. Both smiled to each other realizing they had spoken at the same time.

"You can go first," he said.

"No, you go first," Khushi said.

"No, you go," he said again.

"Arnav, I told you na, go first," Khushi said.

"Okay," Arnav said and grabbed her hand, he moved her to the middle of the window view.

Chapter 22A: Truth or Dare

"Ok, goodnight," Khushi said picking up all the paper and trash that was on her bed.

"Goodnight, see you tomorrow," Arnav said walking out the door and closing it behind him.

"Phew, that was a close one," Khushi sighed in relief to herself. She changed and went to sleep; while Arnav put the gifts under the tree, then came back to his room and slept.

*Next Day*

"Khushi wake up!!" Geet said loudly knocking on her door. She knocked again. Khushi heard the noise and slightly opened her eyes. She stretched her arms and yawned.

"Ki hoya (What is it)?!"Khushi asked.

"Arre oht ja (Oye, wake up),"Geet said. Khushi pulled the comforter off herself then swung her legs to the edge of the bed. She sat up and slid on her slippers. Khushi walked to the door dragging her feet and rubbing her eyes.

"What is it?" she asked opening the door.

"Hurry up! Let's go downstairs!" a very happy Geet said.

"But why?" Khushi asked constantly blinking her eyes trying to wake up.

"Oye! Cheta pul gaya (Hey, did you forget)? It's Christmas today," Geet said.

"Ok, I'll be down. Let me change and get ready," Khushi said.

"No need to change, everyone always comes in the pajama's. We open present and eat breakfast, then everyone goes to get ready," Geet said, "See, I'm still wearing my night clothes and just wear something comfortable," she said motioning to herself.

"Ok fine, I'll just go brush my teeth then come downstairs," Khushi said and then closed the door. She looked down at herself and noticed that she was wearing a pair of leggings and a tank top. She decided to ask Geet for a sweatshirt to wear on top if, so it was a bit less revealing.

She went over to the nightstand and picked up her phone then texted Geet.

Hey, do you have a sweatshirt I can borrow?

Khushi went to the bathroom and was about to open it, but after what had happened yesterday morning, she decided to knock. Knock Knock.

She was about to knock again but the door opened again. Arnav was standing there in front of her with his toothbrush in one hand. He was wearing a pair of sweat pants, with a white t-shirt; his hair was a bit ruffled due to the sleep.

"Oh sorry, let me know when you're done. I need to brush," Khushi said and was about to close the door but Arnav interrupted.

"Khushi you can come in," Arnav said, "There are two sinks in here, so you can use one and I can use the other."

"Ok," Khushi said and grabbed her brush from her handbag. She was walking back to the bathroom when her phone screen flashed. Khushi picked it up and checked it, it was a text from Geet:

I have one, but I'm going to wear it. Sorry.

She walked into the bathroom and started brushing. After she was done, she pulled her hair up and ties it into a ponytail. She looked at Arnav and noticed he was about to leave.

"Arnav," she called.

"Yea?" he said looking back at her.

"Um'do you by any chance have a sweatshirt that I could borrow?" she asked.

Arnav looked at her from top to bottom; obviously she needed a sweatshirt because there was no way that he would let her go out like that in front of his friends.

"Yea, come to my room and I'll find it," he said and walked into his room. Khushi walked after him. Arnav opened up his bag was looking through it. He took out a few clothes and then took out a black sweatshirt from the bottom.

"Here, I hope this is ok, although it's from college and has my last name on the back," Arnav said holding up the sweatshirt to her.

"Yea its ok, thanks," Khushi said taking the sweatshirt from his hands. She put her arms in it and then pulled it over her head. Then she fixed the bottom of it so that it fit her. It was little bit big, but very comfortable. Khushi could smell Arnav's cologne in it and liked the smell.

Arnav looked at Khushi in his oversized sweatshirt and smiled, she looked cute. The sleeves were a bit long, slightly handing a few inches from her hands; the length was long on her and completely covered her bum.

"Let's go Arnav," Maan said walking into Arnav's room and then glanced up to find Khushi there also, "Khushi, you're here?"

"Yea, I needed to borrow a sweatshirt and Geet didn't have one, so Arnav gave me one," Khushi said. Maan looked at the sweatshirt and noticed it said "Raizada" on the back. That was Arnav's college sweatshirt and he never let anyone borrow it, not even his friends. But Khushi was probably an exception now.

He decided to tease Arnav a bit, "But Arnav you never let'" but Arnav interrupted him before he could continue, "Let's go, isn't that what you were here to tell us."

Arnav walked out the door and Khushi followed him, having a smiling Maan follow both of them out. When they reached downstairs, everyone was already in the living room. They also sat down with them.

"Ok, so time to open presents now," Geet said. The servants had already placed the gifts on the middle table.

"Grab the ones with your name on them," Maan said.  Everyone spent the next half an hour shuffling around boxes to each other and opening presents. Khushi just watched them because she didn't expect to receive a present since she didn't know anyone.

"Here," Maan said handing her a box.

"But what is this?" Khushi said.

"A present for you," Maan said, "Just like Arnav and you had bought presents for everyone else, and they also bought presents for you also."

"Oh," Khushi said taking the box from his hands. She looked up at Arnav and he nodded his head telling her to accept it. Everyone was sitting there thanking each other and talking. The ones that Khushi had gifted presents to came up to her and thanks her. By the time they were done, Khushi had received a box of chocolates, a makeup set, a pair of bracelets from the other ladies. And a jewelry set from Maan and Geet. The servants picked up all the trash from the gift opening and threw it away. They all decided to play a game afterwards before eating.

"Let's play truth or dare!" Geet exclaimed.

NO! Let's not play that!" Khushi said.

"Why are you scared? Huh?" Maan asked.

"What?! No, I don't get scared!" Khushi yelled back

"Ok, so let's play," Maan said.

"Fine, let's go," Khushi said. Maan brought a bottle from the kitchen and everyone sat on the sofas in a circle. They first spin of the bottle landed on a girl who Khushi had talked to earlier.

"Ok, so truth or dare?" Geet asked

"Truth," she said.

"Who was your first crush?" Geet asked.

"Um, it was actually me husband," she said then linked her arms with the guy who was sitting next to her and all the girls went awww. The game continued and everyone played along. Finally the bottle landed on Khushi.

"HAH!!" Maan said. He knew that Khushi had always hated this game because she would be dared to do something that she wouldn't want to do or be asked a question she didn't want to answer. Maan looked up at his wife and winked.

Geet nodded and then asked Khushi, "Truth or dare?"

"Um'.truth," Khushi said hesitantly.

"Ok, so um'." Geet said trying to think of a good question, "'.who was you first kiss?"

Arnav who hadn't really been paying attention to the game earlier now looked up at Khushi. The thought of Khushi being with someone else before him and kissing made him jealous and anger boiled in him. And all this was noticed by Maan, who smiled to himself.

"'.woh'." Khushi said but didn't complete her sentence. She looked down on her lap and was very embarrassed; she never had a first kiss yet, and she didn't want to say that out loud.

"Ok if you can't answer that then do the dare," Maan said and Khushi nodded.

"Kiss Arnav," he said.

"KYA?!" Khushi exclaimed. Arnav  looked at Maan and said, "WHAT THE?!"

Chapter 21: Jealousy Strikes

"Black belt. Karate. Think about that before you try to mess with another girl," she said letting go of him. She looked back at the other men and smiled; they all got up quickly and scurried away. She went over and picked up her coat, but it was of no use now since it had gotten ripped due to the thorn bush it was laying on. She turned around and faced an Arnav who was standing a few feet away from her with a surprised expression; his eyes wide, eyebrows raised and mouth slightly open.

To say that Arnav was in shock and completely surprised was an understatement. He opened his mouth to say something, but closed it when nothing came out. He repeated this a few times while Khushi walked towards him.

"Shocked?" Khushi asked him lifting an eyebrow.

"Very," Arnav replied back. Both of them turned around and started walking towards the car.

"Well it's not every day you see a girl down a group of drunk guys in the middle of the night," Arnav said kicking a rock that was in front of him.

"Yea, that is true," Khushi said slightly shivering. Arnav noticed that her coat was ripped and on top of that her dress was only on strap. He took off his coast and put it over her shoulders.

"Ar...Arn...Arnav you're going to get a cold," Khushi said trying to take the coat off but Arnav stopped her.

"Khushi I'm fine, just wear it or else you're going to get a cold," Arnav said. Arnav opened the door for Khushi then went to his side of the car and drove off.

"It's so beautiful here," Khushi said looking out the window as it slightly started snowing.

"Yea, it is a very beautiful city," Arnav said. Arnav reached Maan's house and parked the car. The servants came and took out their shopping bags, "I'll go put them in your room Sir."

"Ok, thanks," Arnav said getting out of the car. Khushi got out also and followed him towards the front door. The house had been decorated with Christmas decorations; wraths were hanging around, mistletoe hanging from the ceilings and a Christmas tree. When they entered the house, they found Maan and Geet in the living room looking at photo albums.

"Oh you guys are here," Maan said looking up at them.

"Come here and sit with us," Geet said moving over a bit giving them room to sit. Khushi went and sat by Maan, and Arnav sat across from her next to Geet.

"What are you guys doing?" Arnav asked.

"Oh we were just going through our old pictures," Maan said.

"Aw, you guys were so cute," Khushi told Maan and Geet seeing a picture of them during their college days. She looked through the pictures and found that a lot of them were from their high school and college days.

"Who's this?" Khushi said looking at a picture of a girl who was standing beside Arnav.

Maan glanced at the picture she was looking at and said, "Oh, that's Sheetal."

"Sheetal?" Khushi said. The girl had on a very short dress that barely covered any part of her body than just the necessities.

"Yea we went to the same college with her, she's the sister of a friends of ours," Arnav said, "But no one ever liked her."

"But she was totally crazy after Arnav, always trying to catch his attention and getting close with him," Maan said.Khushi flipped the page and found a picture of Sheetal hugging Arnav. She looked up and glanced towards Arnav. Both Geet and Maan noticed the jealousy that was inside Khushi at the momentShe flipped through some of the other pages and found pictures of them together also. Geet left for the kitchen to tell the servants to set the dinner

"Why are you guys looking through old pictures?" Arnav said picking up a few pictures from the stack that was on the table.

"Geet says we have too many and we should throw away the ones we don't need," Maan said lying. The truth was that it had been Geet's idea to show the pictures to Khushi so that she would slightly get jealous.

"And you definitely get rid of them by starting with the chudails pictures first," Khushi muttered to herself but only Maan heard it. He laughed to himself.

"Did you say something?" Arnav asked.

"Khushi was saying that'." Maan started off but Khushi stomped her heel on his foot before he could continue.

"OUCH!" he said.

"What happened?!" Arnav asked.

"Nothing nothing," Maan managed to say and looking up at Khushi who only smiled back.

"Dinners ready!" Geet yelled from the kitchen. They all got up to sit at the table and started eating.

"So what's the plan for tomorrow?" Arnav asked Maan.

"Well first tomorrow we're going to be exchanging gifts," Maan said.

"So should we wrap the ones we got?" Khushi asked.

"Yea, and here are the names of the people who are coming so you can write names tonight, and then just put them under the tree" Geet said handing her piece of paper.

"So this like Christmas when we were younger? Right?!" Khushi said excitedly.

"Yea, yea. We both know how excited you used to get during Christmas," Maan said laughing at Khushi.

"Are you making fun of me?" Khushi asked gawking.

"No. We were just telling," Geet said smiling.

"Haha, sure," Khushi said sarcastically.

"Ok, so after that we're just going to be hanging around the house, chilling and whatever everyone wants to do," Maan said.

"And then at night there's a party, then a family/friend dinner," Geet said.

"Sounds fun," Arnav said finishing his food. They all chatted for some more time and the servants took away their plates after they were done.

"We'll see you guys tomorrow," Maan said standing up, "Geet and me have to go finish packing the gifts."

"Ok bye," Arnav and Khushi said. Maan and Geet left for their rooms.

"Should we pack the ones we got also?" Khushi asked while Arnav and her went up the stairs.

"Yea we should," Arnav said, "I'll bring my bags to your room, so we can wrap them together."

Khushi went to her room and quickly looked through the bags, she removed the thing she needed to remove and went to put it in her cupboard. Right when she closed it, Arnav walked in.

"What are doing?" he asked

"N..no...nothing," Khushi said. But Arnav still found something fishy in that.

Arnav came in with the bags and placed them on her bed. They spent the next hour just wrapping gifts and talking to each other.

"Khushi give me the receipt for all the things you bought," Arnav said.

"R..rec..receipts?" Khushi asked hesitantly.

"Yea, receipts," Arnav said.

"But why?" Khushi said.

"Because I want to see how much it all was'" Arnav said.

"Oh...ok'" Khushi said and pulled out her purse.

"Here," she said giving it to him. Arnav looked at the receipt and noticed that there were 4 things on there, and four things that she had bought. He took the receipt and put it in his back pocket.

"I'll go put these under the tree, you can go to sleep," Arnav said.
